Richland Hills is a city in Tarrant County, Texas with a total area of 3.14 square miles. Richland Hills is at the intersection of State highways 26 and 183, eight miles northeast of Fort Worth in central Tarrant County. It was probably established around World War II, when the development of defense-related industrial plants around Fort Worth spurred rapid population growth in the area.
